He graduated with an LLB (Hons) from Cardiff Law School, University of Wales in 1991 and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1996. Datuk Nair is regularly retained in sensitive, high-profile matters and has represented prominent public figures and senior political leaders in complex civil and commercial cases since the late 1990s. \A \A Before turning to private practice, Datuk Nair built a unique foundation of investigative and commercial experience. He served as an Assistant Superintendent of Police in the Royal Malaysia Police Force (1982–1988), where he worked in the Special Branch and Criminal Investigations Department and led inquiries into major commercial-crime cases during the mid-1980s.
